Gunpai (General's war fan), Edo period, 18th century, wood decorated with a sun and crescent moon in fundame lacquer against a glossy roiro ground, the long rectangular handle wrapped with bamboo grips. With a lacquered storage box decorated on the lid with the crest of the Taira family, the underside of the lid inscribed in red lacquer []Somi ko[]ke[]koku sen and dated An'ei sannen rokugatsu (6 month 1774) and signed Hiranobu [] Yuki, 21in (53cm) long; box 22 7/8in (58cm) long.

Acești colaci se mai fac încă în aceste comunități. Semnele înscrise în ei sunt foarte vechi și se regăsesc încă la români înscrise în ii, în țesături, mai rar și în pâine.
