Omar Sharif (Arabic: عمر الشريف‎, Egyptian christian who was born as Michel Demitri Shalhoub, April 10, 1932- Died July 9, 2015) then converted to Islam and married the Egyptian Actress Faten Hamama. He has starred in Hollywood films including Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Zhivago and Funny Girl. He has been nominated for an Academy Award and has won two Golden Globe Awards.
