Tulip mania or tulipomania was a period in the Dutch Golden Age during which contract prices for bulbs of the recently introduced tulip reached extraordinarily high levels and then suddenly collapsed. At the peak of tulip mania, some single tulip bulbs sold for more than 10 times the annual income of a skilled craftsman.
See the tulip fields in Holland - The yearly tulip festival starts about 100 meters from our home so we go visit it every year. It’s about 100 kilometers long and each village has its own tulip mosaic. We also always take some pictures of our dogs in/nearby the fields. I'm not that into the most cultural stuff but I do love that part of living here.
