A large Imperial guilloché enamelled desk clock and calendar by Fabergé, of rectangular upright form, enamelled translucent opalescent oyster white over a guillochage, centred to the top by a circular pearl set bezel, with a flaming silver torch entwined by laurels, surmounted by a laurel wreath tied with a bow. Workmaster: Johann Victor Aarne, St. Petersburg, pre 1896. Purchased by the Dowager Tsarina Maria Feodorvona from Fabergé's St. Petersburg shop on 9th March 1898 for 600 roubles.
