Indian khanda sword, Northern India, late 17th century, length: 100cm, wootz / damascus blade; a large gilded ornate hilt; and a scabbard with superbly worked silver mounts - which themselves offer excellent and relatively rare examples of late seventeenth century Indian silver work. The khanda is one of the oldest styles of Indian swords.
