1908 New York Giants at Chicago Cubs Panoramic ⚾ 107 Yrs Ago Today - West Side Park, Chicago - August 30, 1908 ~ West Side Park was the home of the Chicago Cubs until they moved into Weeghman Park (later called Wrigley Field) in 1916. The Cubs would win that day by a score of 2-1 as they pulled within ½ game behind the 1st place Giants. Chicago would eventually take the NL Pennant as well as the 1908 World Series over Ty Cobb and the Detroit Tigers. (edit/color by BSmile)
