Hexagonal Waste Basket - Adapted from a wastebasket attributed to Charles Rohlfs. I call this piece an adaptation, and not a reproduction, because I used maple, not oak as in the original. I also changed the dimensions and details of the construction. I added the copper canister, and wrought iron nails. Hand hammered copper, antiqued finish. 14 ½” wide x 17 ½” high. $575.
c. 1923 C. L. Bowes - 12333-B. Bungalows were offered in spectacularly large styles and in small, affordable plans that appealed across the spectrum to almost every buyer interested in a modern home. This little house is just 960 sq. ft. and has the no-wasted space layout seen in small homes during the 'teens. Access to the bedrooms is via the bedroom and kitchen. A shared Jack and Jill bathroom connects them and completes the circular floorplan.
