On Ireland’s edge is Achill Island, a peaceful, windswept island off the coast of County Mayo. Of the little island’s five Blue Flag beaches, Keem Strand is perhaps the finest: a sweep of soft sand within a heavenly, secluded valley at the island’s western tip. A stunning cliff-top road arcs over the strand, often populated by wizened sheep that roam the wild grasses. And on the opposite side of the bay: the deserted village of Bunowna…the perfect spot for exploration.
Goliath is a steel roller coaster made by Giovanola of Switzerland. The hypercoaster is located in the Colossus County Fair area of Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California. During a brief period from its opening on February 11 to May 13, 2000, Goliath's 255-foot (78 m) opening drop was recognized as the longest and fastest (85 mph) on a closed-circuit roller coaster in the world.
Flag of the 9th Texas Infantry - This regiment was mustered into service on Dec. 1, 1861, at Camp Rusk, Lamar County, TX. It consisted of men from the counties of Collin, Fannin, Grayson, Hopkins,Lamar, Red River, and Titus. The first commander was Colonel Sam B. Maxey. The 9th Texas served initially in the Army of the Mississippi, and then in the Army of Tennessee. Major battles included Shiloh, Murfreesboro, Chickamauga, the Atlanta Campaign, Allatoona, Nashville, and Spanish Fort.
