Will use as a math warm on Active board to review comparing decimal with 4th grade intervention group. Each student (out of 6) can come up to board and answer problems, students at the table can give thumbs up or down on the answer. A good quick formative assessment!

Base 10 blocks are a really great learning tool for all grades. This is an activity I would use in a 5th grade classroom. It could be used as whole group on the Smart board or used in Math stations. If used in stations each student would have their own personal white board and they would work in partner groups to order two decimals to thousandths and represent comparisons using the symbols >, <, or =.
