The island was a roadside find made of cast iron and wood. The reclaimed pumpkin pine (a wood named for the orange hue that develops after a century or more of oxidation) on the floors also trims the Carrera marble countertops.
How inspiring is this?! I am loving all the details and material used in this kitchen. Notice the backsplash tiles framed by marble slabs. Also, all the lower cabinets in this area of the kitchen are drawers. They offer better storage space for pots and pans, which are often storage by the stove. Range is by “Viking”
