2TLB oil,6 cloves garlic ,2tsp kosher salt,1tsp pepper,1tsp rosemary 1 bag carrots and 8 potatoes... Use an black cast iron pot add oil and brown roast add beef liquid stock up to 1/3 of roast..add 1TLB tomato paste and garlic,salt,pepper and rosemary.. I prefer doing most of my roasts and stews in the oven, because they receive a more consistent, all around heat, than can be achieved on the stovetop. Plus it gives you the advantage of being able to put it in, and forget it.   Out of site; but hopefully not out of mind…
