Behold the Black Sapote, a.k.a “the Chocolate Pudding Fruit”. Anyone who has tried this fruit will tell you that it really does taste very much like chocolate pudding (not like some other sorry excuses for gluten free substitutes) and even has the same consistency too. Of course they’re a much healthier alternative to the real deal, lower in fat and contain about four times as much vitamin C as your average orange.
Puddin’head ~ mix one vanilla pudding packet with half of the milk called for on the package. Whisk until it begins to thicken. Then fold in one container of Cool Whip... use it as a frosting spread on cakes and piped onto cupcakes, a substitute for plain Cool Whip in desserts, a hot chocolate topping, or a tasty filling in crepes or on waffles along with some fruit
