Annie Sloan has a wonderful technique that brings out the beautiful detail on gilded surfaces with pronounced carving such as mirrors and frames. Apply ChalkPaint® to the surface, ensuring it goes into all the recesses. Once dry, take a damp cloth and wipe over the raised carving, leaving paint in the recesses. Paint can be left as a wash over some of the raised areas for a soft effect or wiped cleanly for a stronger contrast. Make sure you work over all so the finish is even. Gorgeous and…
