Catterick is a village , civil parish and electoral ward in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England. It is 8.5 miles (13.7 km) north-west of the county town of Northallerton just to the west of the River Swale. Arrived in England from Austria in 1952 being posted to Cattterick Camp now known as Catterick Garrison. Many years later after a good party we used to drive around this roundabout anti clockwise! The gap in the middle was once the railway line.
