Witches Around the Globe: The Canadian Prairie. The witches of the Canadian prairie are lonesome, determined creatures. They know what it is to struggle, and yet what they do best is persist. Surrounded by grassland and blue skies, these witches are formed with the heat of the sun in their veins, and their fingers are blessed to grow, to heal, to love.


The Blackburnian Warbler (Setophaga fusca) is a small New World warbler. They breed in eastern North America, from southern Canada, westwards to the southern Canadian Prairies, the Great Lakes region and New England, to North Carolina.
