Bay City Rollers - Bye Bye Baby 1975 Was the year I went to see them with my friend Bridget. Walked to the Wisconsin State Fair Grounds. We swore they stayed at a hotel near by so we stalked it. Doubt they were there but we 13 and didn't know stalking was but we had fun. Two years later went to my first KISS concert. The Rollers started my love of music.
July 26th (1975): Bay City Rollers, Bye Bye Baby. Written by Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio. The song is about saying goodbye, not because the person is unloved, but rather that another commitment is preventing their relationship. A cover of the song by the Bay City Rollers sold a million copies and hit #1 on the UK Singles Chart for six weeks from March 1975. It ended the year as the UK's top selling single.
