A Woodsrunner's Diary: The Brown Bess Musket.

1762 style Brown Bess, 11 lbs, .75 cal, just shy of   6' with bayonet attached.  Used in Rev War. This one, along with my 1760 NW  Trade Gun (F&I War), .72 cal, 8-9 lbs, vintage Curly Gostomski kit, built by Jerry Lauters.  I luuuurv these flintlocks.  Nothing like the scent of 2F in the morning👃
