George Brassaï  (nee Gyula Halász) (9 September 1899 — 8 July 1984) was a Hungarian (Transylvanian) photographer sculptor, and filmmaker who rose to international fame in France in the early 20th century. It would seem that Brassai shot everything and was allowed everywhere in 1920′s Paris.
