This huge resort opened in 1972. Some 45 million US dollars were invested in this particular venture. The Penthouse Adriatic was a more-than-rarefied rendezvous for the sophisticated and appreciative traveler who demanded the kind of cosseting that only Penthouse did understand and provide. But in view of the "Croatian War of Independence 1991-1995", a protracted war that smashed completely the tourism, this resort, like many others became abandoned/bankruptcy.
