Baa Baa Black Sheep (1976) Set in the Pacific Theater during World War II, this two-fisted military series follows the exploits of the famed Black Sheep Squadron, a motley crew of maverick aerial aces led by Maj. Greg "Pappy" Boyington (Robert Conrad). Featuring plenty of testosterone-fueled, fast-paced action, the show also stars Simon Oakland, John Larroquette and Dana Elcar as Boyington's bureaucratic, no-nonsense commanding officer.

John Bolt scored six victories with the USMC Black Sheep Squadron VMF-214 and six victories flying F-86 Sabres in Korea.

4/4/14 5:17a ''Black Sheep Squadron'' Robert Conrad was Born March 1935. In the series he was older than 'Pappy'' Boyington was during WW2 and instead of 10 years it's more like 20 years difference with his young crew in the TV series. They had called him Pappy because he was 10-12 years older than the Flight Pilot Crew.
