This read brought me back to my semester abroad, which began in January 2015 in Paris with a seminar on European identity. In studying French identity, we visited the Panthéon, Mémorial de la Shoah and The Grand Mosque of Paris discussing immigration and assimilation tensions. We left the city the day before the Charlie Hebdo attacks. The attacks and their repercussions brought our studies into sharp focus, exposing the depth of a problem we had been thinking of as largely academic.
Amazing book based in the early Even though its not based on true events about the Nazis, she brings you back to that time period and makes it sound very true. Sure somethings she writes about did happen. Read the book you will enjoy!
