This website gives some sample pages from the book, 50 Debate Prompts for Kids. I liked this because the book first teaches the basic guidelines and reasoning for debates, then equips the teacher with potential topics and how to teach them. This would be useful in any grade classroom because you can adapt the ideas for the different levels, but the objectives for debates stay the same.
This package serves as an introduction to debate and contains:This file includes:-Detailed handouts for your students that explain debating definitions, procedures and ideas for planning.-Graphic organizers to help students as they plan and research their debates.-Two pre-debating activities you can use to allow your students to practice their debating skills.-A list of debate topics that have been successful in my classroom.
