Pinto beans were inexpensive and easy (for Mom at least) to make....now my husband cooks them for us because mine just never seem to turn out the way I want them to taste. Mom would either cook hers with a ham hock or the thick slab of bacon you had to slice yourself. We usually had it with cornbread and fried potatoes or just the cornbread.
This is a really good and easy slow cooker recipe for pinto beans, its really good with some fresh cornbread on the side. One of my favorites!! You can add the jalapenos to your taste. We like it with a little kick but its just as good without them.
