The Bar Kokhba Revolt, AD 132-135: The Last Jewish Uprising Against Rome

Hadrian 14th Emperor. He is best known for building Hadrian's Wall, which marked the northern limit of Roman Britain. In Rome, he rebuilt the Pantheon. In addition to being emperor, Hadrian was a humanist and was philhellene in most of his tastes. Upon his accession to the throne, he withdrew from  Mesopotamia and Armenia, and even considered abandoning Dacia. Late in his reign he suppressed the Bar Kokhba revolt in Judaea, renaming the province Syria Palaestina.
