Banksy Art and Graffiti in Palestine One of Banksy’s most famous trips took him to the border wall in Palestine – a central and association-loaded symbol in the heart of a complicated place. His themes while there revolved mostly around war mixed with peace, but he also created some lighter and brighter works that showed possibility, potential and hope beyond the dividing wall.
-BANKSY "...there were also the infamous trompe d’oeil images adorning the Israel-Palestinian wall. Among the images was one that projected the illusion that a giant hole had been blasted through the wall, offering a glorious glimpse of sunlight. Naturally, the images, with their iconic evocations of freedom, intended to illustrate the stark disparity between the humiliating ghettoization of the Palestinians and true, humanizing happiness."
Famous Banksy art!! We saw this one reproduced on the wall of Abigail's Hostel in Temple Bar, Dublin :)
