The Banana Mama is a rum drink originating from the Caribbean. There are various recipes out there, so it is unclear which is the most common. There may be more variations than are listed below. The Bahama Mama is a blend of sweet rums and fruity goodness that will give you that little taste of the islands right at home!


According to a bartender at Red Lobster, they use a mix called "mango passion" ( just a tropical blend of mango and berries) with a shot of Captain Morgan and blend with ice. A strawberry syrup or grenadine is plashed around the inside of the glass. Pour in ice mix then top with Myers Dark Rum. Garnish with an orange slice + cherry.
