RED KANGAROO.....found in Western Australia through to western parts of Queensland and New South Wales in dry arid areas including desert, grassland, mallee and mulga country....averages 6.5 feet tall and weighs 198.5 pounds....the largest living marsupial.....males often "box" or fight each other in breeding season....the national animal and an emblem of Australia....well-known for their ability to jump phenomenal distances....15 feet in a single hop....20 mph is their "cruising" speed
