Billy Joel is my favorite singer/song writer of all time. His music is phenomenal and he is a truly amazing musician. I appreciate that he is a real person in the sense that he does not have a huge ego from being a performer. He cares about his audience (even the people sitting in the nose-bleed section) and is a genuine performer.
John Marcellus Huston (August 5, 1906 – August 28, 1987) was an American film director, screenwriter and actor. He wrote the screenplays for most of the 37 feature films he directed, many of which are today considered classics. During his 46-year career, Huston received 15 Oscar nominations, won twice, and directed both his father, Walter Huston, and daughter, Anjelica Huston, to Oscar wins in different films.
When Billy Joel told an audience in Long Island, New York, this past Wednesday that he might see them soon, he apparently wasn’t kidding. Description from classichitsandoldies.com. I searched for this on bing.com/images
Billy Joel- "Well, I wasn't raised Catholic, but I used to go to Mass with my friends, and I viewed the whole business as a lot of very enthralling hocus-pocus. There's a guy hanging upon the wall in the church, nailed to a cross and dripping blood, and everybody's blaming themselves for that man's torment, but I said to myself, 'Forget it. I had no hand in that evil. I have no original sin Theres no blood of any sacred martyr an my hands. I pass on all of this."
