The Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington Cemetery is a monument dedicated to American service members who have died without their remains being identified. It is watched at all times by tomb guards, soldiers of the United States Army's 3rd Infantry Regiment.
President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was buried in Arlington National Cemetery on November 25, 1963. The site was designed by architect John Carl Warnecke, a long-time friend of President Kennedy's.
