This guide explores each of the twelve "articles", or lines, of the Apostles' Creed. The chapters examine the articles piece by piece and consider what each piece means. Quotes and prayers from various saints and theologians give more depth to the articles. Reflections and notebook sections conclude each chapter and provide ways for children to figure out how the articles apply in their own lives. This is a wonderful aid for catechists.
The Creed – Don’t Be a Robot: This video takes an in depth look at the creed we say at Mass. I think this format would appeal to teens and open up some discussion. I’m sharing this with our high school youth group. "When you recite the Creed, are you being real or are you being a robot? Do you even know what you are saying? Is there a difference between believing there is a God and believing in God?"
THIS is the protestant version - as you will see the words "I Believe in one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins .............................etc" are gone! - Beware Catholics - this was pinned off a Catholic page but it is incorrect and NOT AS ORIGINALLY WORDED AT NICEA!
