These were created by an artist from another country, but when I saw them, I immediately thought of the insane amount of "souvenirs" our children have collected on trips...and these painted stones made me think how fun it would be for everyone to collect a found stone from each trip we take, paint a design, just write a few words that describe the trip, or a simple date, whatever each person wants, & start a collection...from every trip. Display them in a glass apothecary jar in the family…

A word wall is a great way to display words that the children use often so they know how to spell them without having to ask another student or the teacher all the time. As the year progresses you could take words down that they have learned and put up different ones for them to learn.

I don't even wear my makeup or nail polish often anymore, and I still love to buy it, and have it for when I do feel like putting it on.. Nail Polish | Quote | #EssentialBeauty | BeautyBay.com

Reading Tree...Starts out bare at the beginning of the year, add a leaf for every book you read together as a class! Keep this idea for next year! or you could challenge the students to read books at home and have parents send in a signed note saying that their child read that book. See how many leaves you can get on that tree. Use incentives for certain # of books. ex. 20-special snack
