LITERATURE 1 Miss Wishy Washy: The students have just read a book called "Miss Wishy Washy" (a summary is available through a link on the page). The teacher sets up a center with "mud" where the students get the animals dirty and then clean them with soap and water. This is an extension from the book because the students are taking the idea of washing the animals clean and physically doing it.
Farm Animal Learning Log - Give students a farm animal learning log during a farm animals unit! Each day students write a summary about what they have learned. This activity makes a great literacy or science center activity. Students can also use their farm animal learning log as an exit activity before leaving class. #teachersherpa
