1937 - 1940. Tuschinski Theatre at the Reguliersbreestraat in Amsterdam. The Tuschinski movie theater was acquired by Abraham Icek Tuschinski in 1921 at a cost of 4 mln guilders. The interior and exterior are a spectacular mix of styles: Amsterdam School, Jugendstil, Art Nouveau, Art Deco. When it first opened, the theater contained electro-technical features, then considered revolutionary. During the World War II the theatre was given the (non-Jewish) name "Tivoli". #amsterdam #1940…
