Love. Healthy. Food. I eat berries during the candida diet, mostly raspberries and blueberries. I fill a small glass with frozen raspberries and let them sit for a while and then I eat them. Fresh tasty feeling. If I find fresh ones that's great too :)
Banana Berry Smoothie Yield: 2 servings 1 cup mixed berries, frozen 1 medium banana, peeled 1 cup milk, soy milk or almond milk ½ cup strawberry banana yogurt (or substitute your favorite flavor) Additional berries, for garnish (if desired) Place all of the ingredients in a blender and process on high speed until they are smooth. Garnish with additional berries if desired.
Take advantage of summer berry season and freeze Raspberries, Blueberries, Blackberries, Grapes, Banana slices, and Strawberries individually - it makes them easier to add to oatmeal, cereal, and even to top ice cream. I spread them out on a cookie sheet and freeze them. Once they are frozen, just dump them into a ziplock freezer bag and put them back in the freezer.
