Sydney Swans superstar Adam Goodes has been named NSW Australian of the Year for his work with community programs, in particular the establishment and co-chairing of the Goodes-O’Loughlin (GO) Foundation.
Adam Goodes. Born 8/1/1980. Elite Australian sportsman, AFL player, two time AFL premiership winner and Brownlow medalist. All Australian player and International Indigenous team player. Aboriginal advocate and community leader. Has done significant work with disadvantaged aboriginal children. An outstanding individual who is Australian of the year 2014.
