"ahhh a hot guy called me cute!!" by whitesandprincess on Polyvore featuring Hollister Co., Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle Outfitters, Vans, Hourglass Cosmetics, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Too Faced Cosmetics and NARS Cosmetics
When i think of sensory design the first thing i think about is stimulating the sense of smell. Although no one really likes how hollister or abercrombie and fitch smells inside, everyone recognizes the brand by the smell, as well as the dark environment inside. I remember when they put a store in london when i lived there. They had no signage for the store, however, you could tell when you were a block away because you could smell it!
When I was in high school I worked for Abercrombie and Fitch and was a model/impacter. I also instructed visual and had to ready directions on new setups for the store. My job was to makeup sure the visual and mannequins were exactly as the instructions said. I think this helps with literacy as well because there's more to just sticking clothes on things, you have to match the right descriptions.
