This chart is used to teach beginning readers the letters and sounds. I read it like this with my students. "A, sound of a, apple. B, sound of b, ball. C, sound of c, cat, etc." It really works! As we say the sound, we trace the letter name. This chart and process is based on the Jan Richardson book and the Fountas and Pinnell system Leveled Literacy Intervention.
FREE!! Here is a cute set of Alphabet cards for your classroom. They can be used as flash cards or word wall headers. The pictures are inviting and your students will enjoy using them to help them with letter sound recognition. I have also included a mini alphabet chart.
