Aaron Swartz (1986-2013) was a computer programmer, writer and Internet Hacktivist. He helped to develop RSS, Creative Commons, web.py, Reddit, DeadDrop and Progressive Change Campaign Committee; founded Watchdog.net and Demand Progress; was a Wikipedia editor and a Harvard Univ. research fellow. He also acquired the Library of Congress' complete bibliographic dataset, posting it for free on OpenLibrary; and downloaded/released millions of federal court documents and JSTOR academic records.
