2001: A Space Odyssey (1968, dir. Stanley Kubrick) “I think that 2001, like music, succeeds in short-circuiting the rigid surface cultural blocks that shackle our consciousness to narrowly limited areas of experience and is able to cut directly through to areas of emotional comprehension. In two hours and twenty minutes of film there are only forty minutes of dialogue.
Movie Synopsis: "Humanity finds a mysterious, obviously artificial object buried beneath the Lunar surface and, with the intelligent computer H.A.L. 9000, sets off on a quest." More Juarez Tanure AMPs: Juarez Tanure Artists Website: https://www.behance.net/juareztanure
28: 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968). Kubrick's film of the book by Arthur C. Clarke is to some nowadays rather dull...I still find it amazing. A film that says in essence we are more than mere matter or even animals....we are Intelligence itself. Held by some rightly to be the greatest science fiction film of all time.
