Henry IV. Dress inspired by pictures of English king Henry IV (1367-1413) is composed of very long houpelande fur underlined with tall collar, pourpoint, woolen hose, shirt and underwear. As the headdress is used black woolen chaperone. First half of 15th century.
Matilda la Zouche's Wardrobe Burgundian gown, mid-15th century The gown is made from warm brown coloured wool in a heavy hand. The trim is also heavy weight wool. The gown closes in front with lacing rings, as were quite commonly used in the 15th century. The rings are hidden from view on the underside of the gown.
