5....4....3..2...1...ACTION!!!! Here is the DIY video on how too make your own Paper Protea . I do hope you enjoy making this wonderful flower. Please... | By Mustard Seed Creations | Everyone. Today, I'm gonna show you how to make a paper plate here using some old books, liquid glue, and a doll stick. To start off, we're gonna remove the paper cover or hard cover depending on what type of book you have. And it will look like this. We are going to use about 150 pages for this product. The rest of the pages, you just tear off and put it on the side to use later. To start off, look at where your sentences start on the book. This will be your starting point to fold. What I will be doing is making a invisible line right over here from all the pages so that you can be sure that all the pages start at the same end. This will be my invisible line. As you will see there. To start off, we're gonna use this end of the paper and fold it right up until the middle of the page like this. Next, we will use the bottom part. This will then automatically make a triangle. These two pages does not have to meet in the middle. It only needs to make a triangle like this. You will then take the end of the triangle and fold it straight to the middle. To show you again. Use this part, the top part. Bring it to your invincible marker. You like that? Fold it. Take the bottom part of the page. Bring it together. Till it meets other side of the page that you folded already. So, make a triangle. Use this part of the triangle and fold it again. So that touches this end and fold it down. This is how we gonna fold all hundreds and fifty pages that are left of the book. Okay. Let's start. Okay. Top part. Fold it. The end. Bottom part. Bring it up. To make your triangle. Using the point of triangle, bring it in and fold it again. I've done some of the pages already from a previous book to give you the idea how it will look like. This will be the of your I've just finished the middle of the Protea. We will be connecting page one and page 150 together. This will create the roundness of the prettiest. To do this, we're gonna use the liquid glue and put it all on the ends right here. I would also recommend you putting some glue in the middle. This will help the have a little bit of a smaller circle right there. This is the circle I'm talking about. For those of you who do not like this part of the prettier, you can always put glue on here and put on a big button. We're gonna start off by doing the leaves of the it will look like this. These leaves will be glued on to the prettier like this. To make the end product. We're going to use the excess pages that we tore off in the beginning of the video. This was then will then create the leaves of the start off by ripping off individual pages like this. After tearing off about fifteen of these pages, we're going to take our first page. Divide it in half like this. Make sure both ends reach each other. And fold it nicely. The page would look like this. Now, open your page again. This line will be your pointer again. You step up. Part and use it like this. Bring it together by the middle line and fold it. Then, use the left side. Bring it together like this. Now, we're going to do the same at the bottom. I am going to turn it around to give you an idea of how I am going to fold it. Use the top part in this one making. Fold it. Bringing this part together by the line. There you go. It will now look like this. We are now going to take these ends and bring it to a center line. You will do the right side and the left side of the page. This was the right side. Now, we are going to join the left side. Your page would look like this. Joining these two sides folded in the middle again. And make sure is flat. We will do this with all fifteen pages. Right. Let's start again. Creating a middle line. With your page. Start with it. Top end. Folding it to the middle line. The other top end. Fold it to your middle line. Then we're gonna start with our bottom ends. Both of them to the middle line. Making your paper look like this. Start on the sides. Bring your sides to the middle line. Other side to the middle line. Having your page like this. Bring both sides into the middle again. Fold it flat like this. I've done a few in advance to create more leaves to show you how we are going to apply the glue onto the base of the What I do in this video is to show you how to easily put it on without it making a mess and also to keep it a little bit more sturdy. Open up your leaf and just apply glue on this side right here. On the side right there and also in here. Do not put glue on this part of the leaf. This leaf will be on the outside. Also, a tip I would like to give you is make sure that all your letters are facing the same way. What I mean by this is make sure it does not read like this. One of the letters showing up and one of the letters showing down. This will just make your prettier look more beautiful. Let's start. After folding the leaves, we are going to apply the glue. I've applied the glue all on the sides here. We will now be taking the leaf and putting it on to the base of the I've started with one already. It will be like this. To start off, take about six of the insides of the together. One three, four, five, six. It can either be five or six. It doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a six. Take the glue part. And place it over these six insides of the you can use a peg to keep these leaves together. This will also help it dry easier between each of the sides of the six prettier leaves. It will start looking like this. Let's do all the other ones. Two, three, four, five, six. After you've done all the leaves, you will have your very own paper prettier. I hope you enjoyed the video.
