#architecturesight⁣ Casa Butantã (1964-1966) was built by Brazilian architect, Paulo Mendes da Rocha in brutalist style as his main residence in São Paulo, Brazil. Brutalist architecture usually take the form of large scale public buildings. This house is one of the rare examples of Brutalist architecture in residential buildings. Paulo Mendes da Rocha pioneered the design and construction of low cost concrete residences primarily in mid century Sao Paulo, with the two adjacent Butantã Houses...
