Going For A Walk: Urupukapuka Island {Or The Metric System Is Way Too Complicated}

The Motutapu Walkway is a 4.2km track from Islington Bay on Rangitoto Island to Home Bay on Motutapu Island. Much of Motutapu is covered in pasture so occasionally the cows might get in your way!

If you like waterfalls, you might enjoy the Kitekite track in the Waitakere Regional Park. It is a nice, easy walk for those days when you want a bit of nature without too much effort.

Whangarei Town is a really interesting place for a walk. Start off at the marina right in city centre and explore the old buildings along the waterfront. Finish up your walk by enjoy a few drinks looking at all the boats while the sun sets.

It is never a good idea to deface nature, but if you're going to, make sure it is something cute like this. You can see this smiley face on the Te Henga Walkway at Bethells Beach.

A lot of visitors to Auckland just stay in the centre of the city. But there is so much more to see than just the Sky Tower. Like this walk down Tamaki Drive.
