Chinese barbecue pork or char siu pork which is the Chinese term, is the pork commonly seen in Chinese barbecue shops. This recipe is very simple to prepare and packs a great flavour. Left overs are great to use in fried rice. If you want a healthy alternative you could use pork fillet. Although I find fillet still good it is not quite as flavoursome as using the shoulder or the belly.
