Unique Set of 4 Vintage Discontinued Designer Cat-Themed Mugs
You won't see another set like this again. Offered here are four beautifully designed, vintage (1970s to 1990s), cat-themed mugs, each in its way an homage to the domesticated feline. In order of their appearance, the smallest (6 oz. capacity) which depicts front and back two cats outlined in blue is the only hand-made one of the lot, by the American ceramic artist Gogi Millner who continues to operate Cornish Hill Pottery in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Signed on the base and dated 1991. The three-dimensional mug with the cattail handle (8 oz. capacity) was imported, probably in the 1970s, by Henriksen Imports out of Cotati, California, and likely originated in Japan.
