There's a lot going on in this cover, but I generally think they pulled off a great design. What really saves this cover from being dominated by its photo is the use of highlights behind the text. At first, my eyes are primarily drawn only to the photo, but the highlights helps draw my eyes away from the very dominant binoculars and red lipstick. Using bright colors like yellow and red really helps with this, and they add a great variety of bold colors to the page.
