These trash bins pull all the way out of their cabinets, so that you can take them anywhere in the kitchen. There's also a wood cutting board built right on top, so that you can chop veggies and scoop the trash right into the bins.

I've always said if I ever buy an older home, where all the rooms are individual, I'd open things up wherever possible by cutting out walls, like this. This is much simpler than taking out the whole wall. Plus, it sill allows cabinet/furniture space at the bottom, and space for structural support.....love it!

My husband doesn't know it yet, but I'm going to cut a giant hole in our kitchen wall to make one of these. I adore open concepts.
