Help students gain independence for completing work they missed when absent. Love this bulletin board idea.

I wasn't allowed to have any digital clock or watch until I could tell time on a 'real' one. Not sure how I feel about it now.  I also remember being told I needed to learn to do math in my head because wouldn't 'always' have a calculator with me too. And cursive writing is no longer used except for a signature. The digital age is here; how do we embrace part of it but ignore other areas of it?

Growing as godly witnesses includes being aware when we are expressing personal opinions.  This list could be rewritten and used as a hand-out or visual aide to highlight what opinion sounds like, and how to approach it wisely. wsh

Opinion sentence starters- I would create a chart displaying these sentence starters for opinion writing pieces, then refer to these when modeling how to write an opinion piece. Students could use these to start their opinion writing piece.
