Synonym Rolls~ The common word goes in the middle, and students write 10-12 synonyms along the swirly lines. Color it in lightly with cinnamon and glaze colors and you have a yummy display. Great idea from We've Got a Diem to Carpe!

Adjective Surprise: Put a mystery object inside of a brown paper bag. Give students clues about what is inside the bag using only ADJECTIVES! Throughout the week, send home a brown paper bag with each student. Students must bring a mystery object to school in the bag and describe it using only adjectives. Classmates try and guess what is inside. :)

This is a great idea for teaching adjectives. I like how the project is built upon a theme. Each adjective describes popcorn. You could even change up the theme to coincide with your lesson plans. the only problem doing this would be that it is timeconsuming to change it up. It would require you to be able to draw a new one when you wanted to change it.

I like all the examples. Create it with the students though so they have ownership to it...
