In a Kings Land. Rod MacLeod

Paintings of street art become historic documents of times gone by. "In a King's land" an exhibition by Rod MacLeod. Rod has been painting the vanishing scenes of #Auckland since the late 1970s.  With this series of paintings (2008/2009) he turns his focus close to his home in Kingsland and records the ever changing street art environment.  All of these paintings became historical documents when the subject matter vanished in a clean up for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.  View the exhibition…
